In this 1922 work Paton addresses the unmet need to tend professionally to mental health as well as physical health. Asking whether humankind possesses sufficient soundness of mind to exercise intelligent control over civilization, he covers such topics as “Are Sanity and Insanity Inherited?”, “The Sound Body,” and “Man’s Old and New Brain.”
