Addiction recovery can be grueling—but journaling can help you acknowledge the positives and take your recovery one day at a time.

Positive Recovery Journaling is a new and revelatory practice designed to support your recovery by focusing on the positives in everyday life. The prompts encourage positive emotions and self-affirmation to offset our natural human tendency to think negatively, the short duration of good feelings, and the aftereffects of addiction.

In Positive Recovery Journaling, you will:

  • Reflect one day at a time, creating a portfolio of proof of good things happening during your recovery journey
  • Center yourself through specific prompts, inviting an intentional reset for each day
  • Slow down and build capacity to recognize small wins
  • Have a safe place to rant and express the many emotions that come with addiction recovery.

Drawn from the addiction specialist Amy Krentzman’s own recovery and years of research, this process has been linked to greater life satisfaction, well-being, and happiness with recovery. Positive Recovery Journaling will support you, no matter where you are on your journey.
