About the Author
Louise Creighton (1850–1936) was a British author. She wrote a number of history books as well as titles on socio-political topics. In addition, she was an activist for a greater role for women both in society and in the Church of England. She was married to Mandell Creighton, a historian and bishop in the Church of England.
